Her saucy and highly publicized lifestyle started a new trend in the hollywood media and gained a distinct edge over the competition.

Britney Spears did a cameo in a comedy film by Austin Powers GoldMember in 2002, her first full-fledged role in a film was in Crossroads where she played the character of lucy wagner.
